New Screenshots: More Vegetation

I created some more voxel sprites: small details like flowers and grass, as well as bushes and trees. Here they are:

Once again, looking awesome. Keep up the great work. How long have you been working on Cube World now?

I'm a huge fan of the art style, by the way. I like the abstract cuboid look of Minecraft, but I really, really like the direction you've taken it.

Do you mind if I ask what you're using to develop the game in, both graphically (your Plasma product?) and development wise?

Thanks! I started this project exactly one month ago. For the graphics, I created my own voxel editor. For the GUI (like the speech bubbles or the numbers popping up) I use Plasma. The game is programmed with Visual C++, OpenGL, DirectSound and WinSock.

Will the voxel editor be available for the ppl :)? and if so, will it be integrated into the game or a seperate app?

I don't know yet. Currently I don't want to release the editor because I want to define the look of the game. I will think about it when the game is finished.

One more question: Is it going to be freeware or are you going to try and sell it through digital distribution?

i cant wait for this to come out i have some questions so here they are

1. will you have to download the game or will you able to play it online

2. will you have to buy it if yes then will it be on steam

3.will you able to build and break blocks

even if i'm not a fan of the minecraft genre, your likes far more better, and it's really polished for a 1 month work !!

I hope you'll add many RPG elements (NPC/stories)

is there a crouch if yes you should crouch to go under water, if no you should add one

will there be villages

if you cant build houses and there are villages you should be able you buy a house or rent a room in the inn

oh and is there a day and night cycle if yes there should be beds to make it day if no plz add one if

you should to get more health form red hearts dropped from boss's and from jars under ground


will there be under ground caverns

what i meant by under ground caverns i did not mean like in mineraft i meant caves the have entrances on the surface

Yes there will be day/night cycles, caverns and villages. The rest is not certain yet.

oh and when your game comes out if you give it to "TotalHalibut" on youtube he dose a series called "wtf is" were its will do a first impressions of indie games and he could get your game lots of publishing

nice to see progresses on game
ps,don't know if this question was asked before but will there be co-op in game?
and I mean campaign co-op with story and all
like in diablo or magicka,solo is nice but in co-op those games really start to shine :)

@Unorfind Yes, I'm designing the game to be completely playable in co-op mode, including quests and all.

If you can, can you release a demo for us? And I personally think you should make this mod friendly, a bit like minecraft.(because I think this has a lot of potential in mods, and I would like to make mods for this)... :D
